Society organizes cultural events every year amongst the schools. The primary and secondary schools competitions are arranged.
The winners are declared after the events but the prize Distribution was done in a grand function on 28th January 2012 in the lush lawns of SCET Quad.
The attraction of the function was presence of Hon. MP Shri C. R. Patil and Hon Vice Chancellor of Children’s University Shri Harshadbhai Shah.
The prizes were given away by the Hon Guests to the winners. The Students and Staff Principals of various schools were fully energized and were over whelmed in receiving the prizes at the hands of these two dignitaries. On this occasion, centenary Calendar was released by the Society. This calendar was a very nicely made and was very much appreciated by all present. Our Vice President Ashit Gandhi took great pains in making this beautiful calendar.
All items who won the prizes in the competition were performed by the respective schools. It was a site worth watching small children performing so beautifully. The master piece was the decoration of the stage which was done excellently by R.S. M. Punawala Experimental School Primary section under the dynamic leadership of Prin Asha Desai. They have been doing this exceedingly well. The lighting through oil lamps, the handmade items and the Centenary symbol created in thermocole was worth seeing. Those who did not attend missed a wonderful program. The program started with the prayers and Chairman R. G. Shah delivered his welcome address. Shri Dinkarrai Naik, Past Chairman and convener Celberation Committee introduced the Guests. Kashyap Mehta, Vice Chairman proposed a vote of thanks.
The program was a grand success and the credit goes to Schools secretaries Kishorbhai Tailor and Bharatbhai Desai for their hard work and of course the able leadership of our Chairman who was involved in minute details and provided directions.
